Resident Evil 4 Release Date - INFORMAÇÕES

Resident Evil 4 Release Date Revealed for PS4, Xbox One

Video game developer Capcom officially reveals the release date for the seminal survival horror title Resident Evil 4 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Resident Evil 4 is undoubtedly considered by many to be one of the best games in the main seriesand it often gets touted as one of the greatest titles to ever be released, so it should come as no surprise that after being ported for the Wii U several months ago that the fourth entry in Capcom’s survival horror title will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well. Now, thankfully, the game’s developer has revealed exactly when Resident Evil 4 is slated to launch on Sony’s and Microsoft’s current generation consoles, as it has an official release date of August 30, 2016.
Although this is definitely good news for Resident Evil 4 fans looking to experience the title on the latest systems, no one should expect the PS4 and Xbox One ports of the game to be remastered or remade, as it appears to be an untouched re-release that retains all of the elements of the original with graphics on par with the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. With this being the case, it is set to include every bit of the bonus content from the original release, including the New Game Plus option, Ada Wong’s side story, the Mercenaries mode, as well as the features that got added to the later iterations of the title.
For those unaware, since 2016 marks the 20th anniversary for the Resident Evil franchise, Capcom announced earlier this year that it would be giving the fourth, fifth, and sixth entries in the series versions on the PS4 and Xbox One. However, not all of the re-releases have had smooth transitions onto the platforms. For instance, Resident Evil 5 made its way onto the consoles just recently, but unfortunately, it has encountered some major problems, with frame rate issues being the main offender.
If anything, Resident Evil 4‘s leap onto PS4 and Xbox One certainly ought to provide those who consider Leon S. Kennedy to be the best protagonist in the franchise reason enough to pick up the title once more. Not to mention, its release on the consoles should also serve as preparation for fans eagerly awaiting the eventual launch of the Resident Evil 2 remake.
As far as new entries in the series are concerned, though, Capcom has declared that it is looking to return to the franchise’s roots with Resident Evil 7, as it won’t be gun-heavy and features the games’ trademark herbs. Taking all of this recent news about the survival horror games into account, particularly with Resident Evil 4 in mind, perhaps fans should celebrate by dropping some serious coin on a replica of Leon Kennedy’s bomber jacket.
Are you excited about Resident Evil 4 being released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One? Do you think Capcom should port entries before the fourth installment onto the systems? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
Resident Evil 4 is currently available for GameCube, PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and Wii U, with its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports set to release on August 30, 2016.
